Fun Night Out

Bubba sporting dads hat! He wasn't real sure how he felt about it.
Mike was happy to be out with his babies.
Bubba loved to walk on all the games, you could see the wheels turning. "Now I know that this thing lights up! How do I get it going? I could mop the floor with all of you!"
Priss and Mike at their favorite game. The one that gives all the candy, naturally!
Can you see the standoff and determination in his face. "Dad, you are going to let go
of me so I can go see what all of those white things are!"
Priss loves to bowl and apparently she had just knocked several over to her excitement.
Mike had to hold Bubba back the whole game.
Bubba loved the rides!!!!!
The lion was his favorite by far!
Priss loves this place she always is excited to go. We have to feed her when we get home because she will never eat she is so excited to get to the rides.
Bubba is ready to roll.

Where do I go first??????
This video is too cute! Bubba is riding the mini carousel and laughing and screaming in excitement. He is very loud these days. We had a great time at the end of a very long week.

Priss or Bubba?

ok so I ran across this video this morning and while watching I was amazed at how much my two children look alike. I also could not believe how much priss has grown grant it this was almost 2 years ago, but still. Priss would be right around Bubba's age now. Enjoy and let me know what you think.

Glad to be Home

We arrived home around 11:00 Sunday night so I could not go to the store. When Priss got up Monday morning she wanted kokalate milk and pancakes. I had enough milk left for one cup but no pancakes. Well I gave her that and when to get Bubba, when I came back into the living room the smell about knocked me over she had thrown up her milk. I ask her what happened and she said her milk was bad. Then began crying she wanted more milk and pancakes. So, we got dressed and headed to get pancakes and milk. By the time we got to town the only place serving pancakes was Cracker Barrel. The kids were amazing! They ate and ate and ate. They were so polite and well behaved everyone sitting around me didn't know what to think. Bubba even learned to suck thru a straw while we there. The things kokalate milk can motivate children to do.

Fun in Kansas City

Tired kids ready to get home!!!!
Mike and his friends from high school.

Mike and Connie (the mother of the groom)

Us and the newlyweds Kaydi and Luke
Mike, Luke and Fred
At the farmers market in Lawrence. This is where I loved to go every Saturday morning when we lived in Lawrence.
Wheatfields, one of my favorite restraunts in the world.

We took the kids to the Science Museum at Union Station in KC while Z & M worked Friday morning.

Bubba loves golf

You are suppose to make the St. Louis arch our of the blocks and we had but Priss knocked it down just as I was taking the picture.

Last week we set of for our grand adventure: first we would spend a few days with Zack, Megan and Ava, then we would head to Lawrence (the first city Mike and I lived in after we were married) and hang out downtown and see some friends, then go to Topeka for Mikes best friend from High school's wedding. It was a very busy trip, but we got to see so many people that we haven't seen in a long time. We haven't been back to Lawrence since we left over 3 years ago.We had a great time with Z, M & A on Friday we went downtown to PF Changs and then checked out some of the fountains. We got to see the new Gates twins and even go to Taylor Bell's first b'day party. It was all a blast! The wedding in Topeka was beautiful. Mike got to see friends he had not seen in a long time and enjoy time with his family. It was a great trip but we are soooo glad to be home for a while.

Priss's 1st Pedicure

I know you can't see very much but the other day I stopped in to have a pedicure with both of the kids (not very relaxing) and priss decided that she would get one as well. She got very tired of waiting for our turn and had been watching them very closely do the other customers feet and decided that she would do mommies. She very intently sat down on the little chair and said "mommy give me your foot". So, I gave her my foot and she started splashing water on my foot and rubbing it. She would look to her right constantly to make sure she was doing what they were. Every few seconds she would tell me to switch feet "other one mommy" she would say. She thought she was big stuff her only problem was that she kept falling out of the little chair poor thing. Once it was our turn she hopped in my lap and soaked her feet for a few minutes then propped her feet up for the gentleman to do her toes. She was amazingly ver still and allowed him to put three coats of paint and hand paint flowers on her toes. Now for those of you who have been around her very much you can probably not imagine that child sitting still for long enough for all of that. She did so good and then waited patiently for them to dry and for them to do mine. She has been so proud of her toes and wants everyone to see her flowers. She is growing up to fast. Be sure to watch the little video at the end.

The City Museum

I just loved this picture of Priss.
Mimi coming thru the slide.

Bubba even got to get in on the fun. He wasn't sure what he thought about it all.

Priss wouldn't' sit with Mimi. I wanted a picture of exactly what we were climbing on.

Priss loved the train and hopped on like a big girl by herself.

We met Mimi in St. Louis last Thursday to trade vehicles back and went to the City Museum. It was so amazing I have never been anywhere like it. They have no maps and tell you to simply explore the place. They have tunnels, slides and human slinkies you climb thru everywhere! It was unbelievable. I'm not sure it was toddler and infant appropriate but still lots of fun. Outside they have this giant suspended fun zone I almost felt like a hamster crawling thru tunnels and suspension bridges all made of metal and iron. It was not for the faint of heart or anyone with a fear of heights. I would love to go back someday with Mike and when the kids are slightly bigger. I will say that Miss Priss is fearless!!!! Places I would not go I had to drag her out of. She was running ahead of me. Thanks for a wonderful time Mimi!
