Kenzi & Corn

Well as I guess y'all have noticed it has been a busy week...no blogging! With the help of my big helper (Madison) I have been putting up cream corn for the winter. I love all the fresh veggies we have here. Madison loved helping although I think she sampled more than she helped....quality assurance! She thought she was very big with her butter knife cutting of her corn. I wonder why she wasn't any help shucking and silking?!?!?!
Makenzie now weighs 12 lbs 2ozs!!! He is huge! I don't feel like I have a baby. He is also a thumb sucker which I am not sure how I feel about that.

Why do they do the things they do????

So your standing in your kitchen making your husband some banana bread and you hear this precious little voice calling your name; What do you expect to turn around and see? Is this what you envisioned?

Yeah me either! Madison who had been unusually quiet found a little more than her fair share of mischief to get into today. She without me noticing got a brand new container of cocoa powder and had lots of fun with it. She however did not like what she got once it hit her mouth. My only guess is that she poured it into her mouth to taste and it went everywhere then when she realized how awful it was went a little crazy. She came and found me with this disgusted look on her face begging me to clean her up. One long bath/shower, sweeping, moping, vacuuming and more vacuuming and moping later, oh yeah bathroom cleaning later the carpet is still a little brown but otherwise the house and her are restored to normal. Oh the crazy things they can get into. I can only imagine the trouble they will get into together.

Indy Children's Museum

The Indianapolis Zoo

I don't know if I am brave or just crazy, but Mike had a golf tourny in Indi this week so this kids and I decided to drag along. I figured even if I stayed in the hotel it would be a change of scenary. Well, I decided that the kids and I would make trip out of it. Yesterday we went over to the Zoo and Madi loved it even more this time than the last. Her favorite was the live dolphin show and the splash park, but she liked getting to pet a live shark. You can see her feeding the giraffes in one picture. Makenzie even woke up for some fun in the end. I do believe however that the last picture sums up how we all felt at the end of the day.

Mommy's Big Boy

So my question is-Why do children have to grow up so fast? Yesterday out of shear curiosity I took Bubba Love and had him weighed. Too my amazement he weighed 11 lbs and 7 ozs! Can you believe it? He's huge!!!!! I laid Madison next to him to show you how truly big he is. Madison is a stocky little girl, but I do believe that he is going to be bigger than her in the long run. I'm not sure how Mike and I produce such large children. Well they are definitely healthy! Makenzie is more alert everyday and loves to look around. Yesterday he was awake for 4 hours before finally at 9 last night Mike came home and got him to sleep. He doesn't want to miss anything. Madison seems to be a little less jealous but not much. Last night I had to cook dinner with her on my hip the whole time. You've seen the pictures of how big she has gotten imagine how well that went. I never dreamed that one more little baby could make life that much more hectic. If he cries then she cries just because, if she cries loud enough then she upsets him and then wallah they both are crying. Well Madison is currently laying in the floor of the kitchen with her pot wanting to eat finally so I must run and feed my child. Have a wonderful weekend.

The really big girl

It seems that everywhere I go people are asking me what have I been feeding Madison. It seems that she has hit a major growth spurt in the last month. She has turned into a little girl overnight it seems. She will be two before I know it.
